THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for someone to be a FULL-TIME FINANCIAL ANALYST for our US client in the food and restaurant industry.
As a Financial Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the strategy and growth of the organization by providing financial planning & analysis and insight to senior management.
You will have a high degree of visibility with key decision makers and be able to collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments.
If you are highly self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, adaptable, collaborative and resourceful, with excellent financial and Excel skills, then you are the right fit for the role.
This is a contractual, part-time freelance position initially with a trial period of 3 months and can be done completely from home with a fast laptop (or desktop) computer, proper gear, and fast internet connection.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide analytical support on the creation of budgets, forecasts, P&L, business plans, KPI’s, and other ad hoc financial report
- Work collaboratively across multiple departments, including marketing, sales, operations, etc
- Perform pricing analysis, sales and labor analysis, marketing analysis, etc
- Assist in the creation and monitoring of KPI’s, providing key insights to management
- Support preparation and review of consolidated monthly and annual financial results
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and develop financial models and business cases to identify operational efficiencies and support new investment ideas
- Maintain both short and long-term forecasting models including P&L, statement of cash flows, balance sheet, capital expenditures and various leverage ratios
- Parse large data sets to meaningful actionable information.
- Any other ancillary tasks as may be assigned related to above.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting or related field of study
- At least 3 to 5 years proven experience as Financial Analysis, Accountant or CPA practice. Restaurant industry or retail industry preferred
- CPA preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and very good at handling huge volumes of data
- Very good English, written and spoken. Can do proper business correspondence
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial and management accounting and process
- Strong analytical skills and a quick learner in a “can do” working environment
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Proactive, self-motivate, willing to make decisions, and can work with minimal supervision
- Has own fast laptop or desktop computer and has a stable, fast and reliable internet connection at home capable of doing voice and video calls
- Willing to work graveyard shifts, can take overtimes and flexible hours/schedule (US PST time)
HOURS OF WORK
- Work from home. Full-time freelance, contractual position
- Mondays to Fridays, 12AM (midnight) to 9AM PST Monday to Friday US HOURS (3:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Manila Time)
- Daily Breaks: 1 hour
- US Holidays off and unpaid
- Any overtime needs to be pre-approved by the client
- Compensation will be paid by the hour in USD but locally converted by the Service Provider (Big Ideas Philippines)
COMPENSATION
- USD $9.00 to $12.00 per hour based on experience
- Monthly pay out
- Deposited to freelancer’s Payoneer account in USD
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- Although you will be reporting directly to the designated manager from our client, you will also be reporting to and will be supervised by Big Ideas Social Media Inc, who is the consultant and service provider of the US business.
- Big Ideas will be the one to provide your compensation and other HR and administrative needs locally.
- You will be classified as “Self-Employed” when it concerns legality and taxation.
- You won’t be an employee of our Client or Big Ideas Philippines
- Big Ideas (the agency) will deducted a 5% Expanded Withholding Tax as per PH and BIR laws. (10% if you do not have a COR as Self-Employed from the BIR)
- Contract is subject to an “evaluation period” and subject to contract renewal based on performance of the freelancer.
- Renewal or raise in compensation is subject to client discretion and is not guaranteed.
